More Mumblings from Ms. Melin!: Curriculum Page

My name is Marissa Melin. I am a daughter, a wife, a cat owner, a friend, and on my good days, a teacher. I teach 8th grade language arts (yes I do this voluntarily). I heard an interesting quote recently, “It speaks well of the human race that we let our teenagers live.” And yes there are many days where I question that decision but there are many more days where I wonder how others don't see 14 year olds the way I see them.

I am a book nerd and a tech nerd. This is a rare breed and I promise if you read on you will see both sides of me pop in my philosophy, experience, and passions. In full disclosure, teaching is hard. So sometimes this blog will be filled with venting and seem to sit a top a never ceasing soap box. But I promise, I will do my best, to put my own hopes and love for what I do in here too.
